The CartCas group of the Bioengineering Division of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) of the Politecnico di Milano is made up by permanent staff, post-docs, Ph.D. students and research fellows working on the development of technologies and methods for computer assisted technologies with application in high-precision radiation oncology. The experience of the CartCasLab is confirmed by several publications and national and international projects in the field of radiotherapy, particle therapy, image guidance and motion modelling. Specific focus is given to translational research, which is empowered by long-lasting, strategic collaborations with national and international clinical institutions, with strong vocation for applied clinical research.
The Division of Bioengineering is the brand-new section of the renewed Department of Electronics and Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano. It stems from the former Department of Bioengineering and counts 39 faculties. The Division of Bioengineering offers a complete educational program in Biomedical Engineering to Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. students.
